About the Redline Edition

The package became one of the most popular upgrades to many vehicles with the bow-tie. Some consider it the best. The Redline model is available on a total of nine models. Cruze sedan and hatch, Malibu, and Camaro are cars. The pony car is also offering this upgrade with the performance-oriented SS trim. Crossovers and SUVs are also eligible. Again, the LT models of Equinox and Trax are possible bases, while the mid-size Traverse offers it with the Premier model. Small Colorado truck and Silverado half-ton pickup are also part of the lineup.

Every Redline Edition model will feature some standard upgrades. There are red badges with blacked-out elements (wheels, grilles, logos). Also, different types of vehicles are coming with the elements which boost a particular segment. For example, red hooks are the trucks’ trademark, while the Camaro muscle car shows special graphics.

Features

The all-new Redline concepts debuted last year at Detroit Auto Show. The first package was introduced back in 2015 at SEMA. Now, the 2021 Silverado is featuring the special colors for bumpers. LED lamps are installed even in the cargo box. The power tailgate is there and the truck is not getting the MultiPro. There are a few more interesting details, including the black grille and dark bezels surrounding the headlights. Red hooks are the trademark accessories and these can be found in a black housing.

Details of the same color are there on wing mirrors, while door handles are black, as well as side steps. Black strip with a red outline is a graphics that will unveil the 2021 Chevy Silverado Redline Edition package. 20-inch wheels are standard. Again, the combination of black and red is making the appearance more aggressive. Dual tips are the notable upgrade at the back, alongside unique badges. The Redline Edition is eligible for further upgrades through the Performance Exhaust system that comes with 12 hp extra.

2021 Chevy Silverado Redline Edition Specs

The company didn’t unveil which engines will be there for the 2021 Chevy Silverado Redline Edition. However, with plenty of options for the base version, we are sure the company won’t fail to deliver the proper configuration. The new engine is a 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit. Some truckers were surprised, but the small block can deliver as much power as a larger V6. Both of them will produce about 310 horsepower. Of course, engines with fewer cylinders will return a better fuel economy, but these will also lack some towing capacity.

A pair of V8 is a way better choice for the Redline Edition of Silverado 1500 half-ton pickup. A 5.3-liter is now the base choice since GM discontinued a 4.3-liter mill. With 360 hp and 390 lb-ft, it is a significant upgrade that draws more buyers. That is not all, since the top of the range version is going to use a 6.2-liter displacement. Still, this one is not confirmed for the combination with the special package. However, we will miss 420 hp and 460 lb-ft coming from the largest unit in the lineup.

Prices

Details about the 2021 Chevy Silverado Redline Edition are not complete. Besides the info about engine choices, the pricing is also unavailable yet. Previously, the package brought the MSRP just under $50,000. Now, after the update of the truck, the cost will jump over the magic mark. The Redline Concept is the most attractive upgrade for the Silverado. But, the most luxurious version is High Country.
