The upcoming 2023 Chevy Colorado LT has been spied on for the first time. This pickup truck will introduce lots of upgrades, which is great to hear. The Colorado pickup was introduced in the United States seven years ago. Now, it is one of the most popular models in the mid-size truck segment. Still, Chevrolet will look to improve this pickup additionally, so we expect numerous visual and interior changes.
The Colorado LT model slots above the TM version, and below Z71 and ZR2 trim levels. The LT model mostly adds further interior updates, along with the larger wheels. Still, if you are looking for real luxury, you should go with the range-topping trim levels.
Chevy Colorado LT Spy Shots
The 2023 Chevy Colorado LT has been spotted testing on the public roads. The prototype wears lots of camouflage. However, it seems the front fascia is completely new. That includes new LED headlights, an LED lighting signature, and a new grille. Moreover, it seems like we are looking at brand-new projector beam bulbs. The side profile comes with new lines, so the new truck will look cleaner.
The lights are now horizontally-oriented, with the lighting elements stretching around the center of the grille. The bumpers are also modified, along with the fog lights. The current Colorado LT offers standard 17-inch wheels. However, the prototype rides on a larger 18-inch 12-spoke rims. Lastly, Goodyear tires are visible at first glance.
Engine Specs
Under the hood, the new 2023 Chevy Colorado LT will offer a new engine. For a start, this model rides on a 31XX-2 architecture. It is an updated version of the currently present GMT-31XX platform. Thanks to that, Chevrolet will provide a new 2.7-liter turbo-four engine. The same engine is available in the Chevy Silverado 1500 truck.
In the Silverado 1500, this unit generates 310 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission comes as standard, which is always a positive thing. While this is not official, Colorado LT won’t offer a 3.6-liter V6 gasoline engine, along with the 2.8-liter Duramax turbodiesel engine.
Interior
While the spy photos failed to show interior upgrades, we think the 2023 Chevy Colorado LT will introduce an interior revamp. At the moment, the LT trim level offers an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen as standard. On top of that, this model comes with a remote keyless entry, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and Wi-Fi hotspot.
On top of that, a six-way power driver’s seat and Jet Black cloth upholstery are standard. Optionally, you can get Jet Black leather seats. This truck offers lots of customization because it comes with various optional packages. That includes trailering package, safety package, LT convenient package, and more.
2023 Chevy Colorado LT Price, Release Date
The price of the forthcoming 2023 Chevy Colorado LT will start at around $30,000. Most likely, the price will start slightly below that. We are waiting to see more details about this mid-size truck, including the most recent interior updates. The launch date is not official yet, but the 2023MY will probably arrive this fall.
