The 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 High Country is perhaps the most luxurious full-size truck that you can get. This premium variant has a ton of premium things. It features a bigger wheel and additional luxury accents, while the interior provides larger screens and leather materials. Of course, Ford and Ram also have upscale models, but it seems like the High Country variant is on another level.
The Silverado High Country, however, is something exceptional in our opinion. This version doesn’t actually perform any better than the previous one. This version is geared at luxury because it is a more expensive model.
Luxury Interior Features
The forthcoming 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 High Country’s cabin layout is stunning. This variant adds high-quality materials, including leather upholstery. Five persons may fit comfortably, and the level of comfort is exceptional. Additionally, Chevrolet offers open-pore wood trims, a top-notch audio system, and the brand-new Super Cruise hands-free driving system from GM.
Including the 12.3-inch gauge cluster, a 13.4-inch infotainment screen is included as standard equipment. If you choose this trim level, you will also get a 15-inch heads-up display (HUD) with telematics, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and wireless Bluetooth capability.
Styling Looks Premium
A more upscale exterior is another highlight of the 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 High Country. The extra chrome treatment, mainly up front, deserves recognition. In every sense, it is an outstanding truck. It’s excellent that the High Country trim level comes standard with wider 22-inch wheels. Yes, choose the ZR2 variant if you desire off-road capability.
It is the High Country trim level’s lone drawback. Everything else, though, is remarkable. There are available body-colored bumpers, a recovery hook, and distinctive exterior colors. Rear wheelhouse liners and a motorized tailgate are two features that might be added to this new model.
Under the Hood
If you are looking for a high-performance model, the new 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 High Country is not the model for you. This version uses the same engines as the rest of the lineup. Therefore, a 2.3-liter engine comes as standard, producing 310 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. You can opt for a bigger 5.3-liter V8 gasoline unit with 355 horsepower. Furthermore, this variant has a torque of 385 lb-ft.
Luckily, there is a very potent 6.2-liter V8 engine that develops 420 horsepower. There is also a diesel engine on offer. It is a 3.0-liter variant with 460 lb-ft of torque and 277 horsepower. No matter which engine you opt for, the High Country trim level uses a smooth ten-speed automatic transmission.
2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 High Country Price, Release Date
The price of the range-topping 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 High Country will cost around $60,000, more or less. To compare, the base version of the Silverado 1500 pickup truck starts at $31,000. There is also a sportier RST model, but High Country is the best option if you are looking for real luxury. Chevrolet will launch a new model next year, possibly in the summer.
