The all-new 2023 GMC sierra 1500 Crew Cab will go on sale later this year. This pickup truck is among the segment leaders. And while the performances are not the best in class, the Sierra 1500 has a very modern and comfortable interior.
It is the truck’s strongest point, especially the range-topping Denali and Denali Ultimate trim levels. After the most recent redesign, the 2023MY will see minor upgrades only. Still, it is an elegant pickup truck with so much to offer. That includes a very stylish exterior design and good performance. The price should remain intact, which is a good thing.
Exterior Changes
As we said, the Sierra 1500 truck received a complete redesign recently. Therefore, visual upgrades will be minor this time around. For a start, GMC redesigned the front grille and bumpers. Furthermore, this truck wears new LED headlights, so the front fascia looks more modern and upright.
The Sierra will offer a new AT4X off-road trim level that wears more aggressive wheels and tires. If you want something more stylish, the new Denali Ultimate trim level is the way to go. If some cosmetic upgrade happens, it will be a very small change. From what we know, GMC won’t introduce new exterior colors as well.
GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab Interior
The same treatment continues inside the cabin. New 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab should obtain some technological updates, but that’s about it. This model provides elegance, a high level of comfort, and lots of high-tech amenities. New Denali Ultimate trim level provides real luxury, with a larger 13.4-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch gauge display.
Of course, leather seats and a Super Cruise driving system are also included. The crew cab setup is available once again. It is the most popular choice among the customers. The Sierra 1500 Crew Cab provides a room for five or six people with two rows of seats. And while the regular cab delivers better headroom, the crew cab is known for providing more ample rear legroom. Basically, if you are looking for more storage space in the cab, this is the best option you can get.
What About Performance?
New 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab will continue to offer a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine as standard. Moreover, this truck comes with an optional 3.0-liter turbodiesel and 5.3-liter V8 gasoline engine. Lastly, the most potent engine in the lineup is a 6.2-liter V8 powertrain.
The manufacturer delivered more power in 2022MY, so we don’t expect any sort of upgrades in terms of performance. With more torque, Sierra 1500 Crew Cab is more competent. Still, rivals from Ford and Ram are the segment leaders and that will not change in 2023. Anyway, this pickup truck is capable of towing 13,200 when equipped with a diesel engine.
2023 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab Price, Release Date
The price of the base trim level with a regular cab starts at around $34,000. However, the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab will cost more than that, closer to $40,000. Of course, upper trim levels such as AT4X, Denali, and Denali Ultimate will start at above $70,000. The sales will begin in the second half of 2022.
