The all-new 2023 GMC Sierra AT4X, which will be available sometime next year, is the company’s latest off-road model, and it appears hotter than the conventional Sierra. As far as we know, this model will be mechanically identical to the Chevy Silverado ZR2. A familiar V8 engine and a ten-speed transmission will be on offer. However, it includes some content that is not included on the ZR2.
Furthermore, the AT4X’s interior is quite premium, matching the famous Denali trim level. The interior features plush leather upholstery, a bigger display, and improved safety features. The sales will commence in the second half of next year.
GMC Sierra AT4X Looks Aggressive
Due to several upgrades, the approaching 2023 GMC Sierra AT4X is more attractive than the standard model. This version is the pinnacle of GMC’s portfolio, ranking higher than the previous GMC Sierra AT4. It features a massive grille, stunning headlamps, and black 18-inch rims.
Additionally, this version will include rock guards and brand-new Multimatic dampers. On the Colorado ZR2 and Silverado ZR2, we noticed identical dampers. Moreover, these dampers include independent springs, which collectively increase the front suspension’s maximum travel. By and large, AT4X is a more off-road-oriented variation than the Sierra AT4 trim level.
Interior
The 2023 GMC Sierra AT4X’s cabin is both modern and spacious. The new trim level will share the Denali trim’s distinctive “Obsidian Rush” interior decoration. Supreme comfort is provided by excellent leather upholstery that is enhanced with white trim and red contrast stitching. From what we know, the AT4X will provide the same premium stuff as the Denali trim level.
The luxurious leather is combined with beautiful Vanta ash wood trim, and the manufacturer provides 16-way power-adjustable and massaging front seats. Furthermore, a 15-inch touchscreen and a magnificent Bose sound system are available as standard.
Powertrain Options
The upcoming 2023 GMC Sierra AT4X is an off-road truck based on the Chevy Silverado ZR2 chassis. Under the hood, a 6.2-liter V8 petrol engine produces 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. This engine is mated to a smooth 10-speed gearbox and a two-speed transfer case. Additionally, GMC touts the vehicle’s multiple driving modes, which include a Terrain Mode for rock crawling.
In addition to the electronic locking differentials in the front and rear, the AT4X includes a unique chassis and upgraded suspension. The vehicle has a payload capacity of 1,430 pounds and a trailering capacity of about 9,000 pounds. Generally, AT4X will surely become one of the most capable off-roaders in the pickup truck segment.
2023 GMC Sierra AT4X Launch Date and Cost
The new 2023 GMC Sierra AT4X was unveiled for the first time last week. In comparison to the base Sierra, the AT4X has a more aggressive exterior and stronger off-road capabilities. Furthermore, it is only available with a crew cab configuration.
General Motors says the new model should arrive in showrooms at the beginning of 2023. The GMC Sierra AT4X will cost around $75,000, according to reports. The current AT4 trim level, on the other hand, will be available for about $60k.
