If you want to try something new, the new 2023 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition is an excellent choice. This truck looks great with its black accents, luxury design, and sporty stylistic cues. This truck, like the normal model, is built on a unibody basis and shares it with the Pilot SUV.
The Black Edition uses the same V6 engine, delivering 280 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. This engine is connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission and a standard all-wheel-drive system. The Ridgeline pickup truck will continue to compete in the mid-size segment. Still, the Black Edition is something unique, delivering more premium touches.
Honda Ridgeline Black Edition Design
The upcoming 2023 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition is distinguished from the standard Ridgeline model in a number of ways. This truck has a more sporty appearance thanks to a blacked-out cosmetic modification. We don’t know if the Ridgeline Type R model will go on sale anytime soon. Unlike the sporty Type R, Black Edition is more elegant and subtle.
The attractive black 18-inch alloy wheels are standard, along with tinted rear glass and numerous black accents. Overall, the Black Edition trim level appears to be significantly superior to the other trim levels, both in a luxury and sporty sense. Surprisingly, Honda includes the Platinum White Pearl color choice. We’re not sure what the point is, so we’d stick with the standard Crystal Black Pearl paint.
The interior of the new 2023 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition is simply beautiful. This model has received an 8-inch touchscreen, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, and extra safety features since the last interior redesign. Black leather upholstery, red ambient lighting, and a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel are among the amenities of the Black Edition variant.
This truck will also include driver-assistance aids such as blind-spot monitors, hill start assist, and adaptive cruise control. The red contrast stitching looks fantastic and adds a sportier feel to the interior. If you want a premium mid-size pickup truck, the Black Edition is one of the best choices you can get.
The forthcoming 2023 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition will deploy the same engine as the base variant. It is a proven 3.5-liter V6 engine with 280 horsepower. On top of that, this gasoline unit has a torque of 262 lb-ft. It comes with a smooth 9-speed automatic transmission and AWD system as standard. This powertrain option provides good performance, but the towing capacity of 5000 pounds should be better.
After all, the mid-size pickup truck segment is very competitive and Ridgeline is not doing so well in this category. We must say that the Black Edition is not a high-performance model. We don’t know if the Ridgeline truck will get a Type R variant in the near future.
