The 2023 Rivian R1T is set to revolutionize the section of the pickup truck segment. Rivian has not released many details regarding the 2023MY. Moreover, we expect to see the R1S SUV in the near future as well. Many analysts question the promised numbers of Rivian. Whatever the situation, R1T may become the world’s most powerful truck, and some of its figures are stunning. If everything goes according to plan, this model will arrive later next year.
The R1T comes with a lot of innovative stuff. It will be running on a whole-electric powertrain, using four electric motors. Rivian promises outstanding performance, including acceleration, speed, and towing capacity figures. The R1T may come with a great all-electric driving range. This model will be also a good off-roader.
Charging Time, Acceleration, Driving Range
For a start, Rivian promised some fantastic performance figures. The upcoming 2023 Rivian R1T should perform quite well. With three different battery packages, this fully electric pickup truck could become one of the segment leaders. This comprises a battery of 105, 135, and 180 kWh. More than 400 miles of all-electric driving range is provided by the biggest battery. In 3 seconds, the R1T truck is going to speed up from 0 to 60 mph.
These statistics are hard to accept, to be honest. The only thing we can do, however, is to wait and see this model for ourselves. From 0 to 80%, the battery takes around 50 minutes to charge via the DC fast charger.
Beautiful Exterior Design
The new 2023 Rivian R1T appears quite contemporary when it comes to exterior design. Unlike the new Tesla Cybertruck, this one looks more conventional. With its vertical lights and a distinctive LED luminous band over the whole width of the front fascia, Rivian produced a unique model. Like most cell phones, this strip lights green when charging. In our perspective, the front section looks excellent, but the side profile is even more conventional. Aerodynamics are quite good, and R1T has a normal back bed.
This truck will sit on a popular „skateboard“ platform. It also comes with a height-adjustable suspension. This allows you to elevate the ride to 14.2 inches, which is excellent. This will also improve the truck’s off-road ability.
Interior Features
The forthcoming 2023 Rivian R1T will provide a room for five passengers. Moreover, we already know a couple of things regarding the truck’s interior. We have to remark that the cabin looks amazing and includes luxuries. The inside has several luxury materials and all of them appear very upright. Rivian will provide bigger touchscreen options and an innovative infotainment system.
Rivian noted that the focus is on comfort and practicality. The cabin is spacious, and there are also lots of storage areas for R1T pickup. A lockable gear tunnel is beneath the bed. We still have to find out its extra features, available trim levels, and optional packages.
2023 Rivian R1T Release Date, Price
The brand-new 2023 Rivian R1T will go on sale in the first quarter of 2023. On the other hand, the truck’s official debut will happen a couple of months earlier. The price is not yet available, but the base model will cost around $70,000. On top of that, the range-topping variant will cost closer to $100,000.
