2024 Ford Maverick Will Get First Mid-Cycle Refresh

The upcoming 2024 Ford Maverick is on the way and it will reportedly introduce a couple of important upgrades. It is a compact pickup truck, introduced in 2021, and is available in both hybrid and gas-only powertrain options. The Maverick is notable for its compact size, unibody construction, and its standard hybrid powertrain, making it one of the most fuel-efficient pickups on the market.

It offers a spacious interior, lots of standard amenities, and a range of convenient storage solutions. Some reports are suggesting a new powertrain option, which is a probable outcome. However, no official words from Ford regarding this speculation.

Ford Maverick Exterior Facelift

The 2024 Ford Maverick may get a styling update. The modern and small pickup truck has a distinctive appearance since it combines certain crossover features with a conventional truck bed. The headlights are divided into two halves by a square grille with C-shaped lights. The remainder of the truck’s front face has smooth edges and clean lines for a quite modern appearance.

The back end has a compact, boxy bed, square taillights, and a subdued rear bumper, giving it a truck-like appearance. A redesign may give the Maverick a new grille, revised taillights, and a multipurpose tailgate. Still, redesign is still not on the way, as Maverick is a relatively fresh model.

Interior Upgrades

The inside of the modern 2024 Ford Maverick has a basic, practical appearance. A tiny storage space is built within the dashboard’s touchscreen. Just below the display are the infotainment system’s physical controls. The center console’s huge HVAC controls are lower down, and they are separated from the infotainment controls by a pair of square air vents.

Innovative storage spaces are provided by the Maverick’s doors, and the cabin’s two-tone interior color scheme adds some excitement. A facelift for 2024 may bring the vehicle new materials, a reworked center console, and additional safety features.

New Powertrain Option?

Blue Oval carmaker provides two engine options for the 2024 Ford Maverick. Ford could present a third variant for the updated 2024 Maverick. Currently, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine coupled with an electric motor serves as the base powertrain. It has a 191 horsepower output. A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with four pistons produces 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque as an option.

While the turbo engine has an eight-speed automatic transmission, the regular hybrid engine has a CVT automatic transmission. In contrast to the turbocharged powerplant, which is available with both FWD and AWD, the hybrid powertrain is only offered with front-wheel drive. On the other hand, we don’t have any info regarding the brand-new powertrain option.

2024 Ford Maverick Release Date and Price

The forthcoming 2024 Ford Maverick will probably have the same starting price as the outgoing model. Despite the mild refresh, the new Maverick pickup will cost around $24,000 and it will move up from there. The sales will begin in the last quarter of 2023. The compact truck segment will expand, but only Ford Maverick and Hyundai Santa Cruz are currently available.
