2024 Honda Ridgeline News and Rumors

There is a new kid on the block, get ready for the 2024 Honda Ridgeline. The mid-size segment is quite populated, but not enough obviously. The Ridgeline is getting a refresh and hopefully, it’s a good one. We are expecting many improvements on the inside of the cabin. This means better seats and technology. Pickups aren’t just for work anymore, they are a style statement.

If you use them for your everyday agenda you want to be comfortable and look good. Under the hood is where we might see some surprises in the form of electrification. On the exterior, not much is bound to change. Why would it though? Let’s take a look at the newly announced 2024 Honda Ridgeline.

Honda Ridgeline Interior Upgrades

On the inside, we hope to get improved seating capabilities. The fresh 2024 Honda Ridgeline must improve cushioning and lumbar support. Materials were easily ripped so some higher quality leather and fabric are needed. Contrast stitching would just add to the style. Infotainment is standard, size is not certain but hopefully not less than 13 inches. That way the back row of passengers can join in on the fun.

The dashboard is rumored to be digital, but we will wait on that one. If it is, that is a nice step towards the future and it would parallel the electric version well. Safety features are standard. You get your lane departure alert, automatic brakes, and similar.

Redesign Not on the Cards

On the outside, we don’t expect too many changes. The fresh 2024 Honda Ridgeline will keep its rugged and aggressive look. It comes with 19-inch aluminum rims that shave off some weight. On the front, we get a lightweight fascia that has enough air intake to cool the engine down. This would be removed if it’s an electric variant of course. Instead, we would get extra space for storage.

The classic cargo bed of 5.5 feet in length. Ride height is over 8 inches so nothing will get under you easily. Bumpers have good approach angles so don’t worry about getting stranded. Also, headlights are linear nowadays and they use the latest LED technology. Overall we like the classic Ridgeline look and hopefully, it performs as it looks.

Engine Specs

Currently, we are looking at the good old reliable. There is a 3.5-liter V6 engine that can produce 280 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. More than enough the mid-size pickup actually needs. This arrives with a 10-speed automatic transmission. There is also going to be an option of a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine. Less horsepower but better mileage. This is quite important for many people. There are hybrid rumors which is not a surprise. It was about time that Honda entered the hybrid game. Rumors have it that a single electric motor will be combined with the same 3.5 liter V6. This could boast around 300 horsepower and over 300 pound-feet of torque.

Nine-speed automatic transmission is probable for this one. All-wheel drive is optional, but as standard, we get the front-wheel drive. Higher trims include the all-wheel drive option. Fully electrifying the pickup would make sense as well. Although the platform would need to be changed. But there are many proven platforms on the market that Honda can simply borrow. And not spend too much time and money on their own. A battery pack of around 100 kWh would do enough to match the V6 specs. Going to 150kWh would be great as well, with more power and better range.

Ridgeline and Ridgeline Hybrid Fuel Efficiency

As is, the 2024 Honda Ridgeline can get 18 mpg in the city and 24 on the highway. The hybrid version is a bit better, with 25 mpg. But if they go fully electric, we are hoping for at least 300 miles on a single charge. This would be the bare minimum. Anything under that and you are losing too much time charging your pickup.

2024 Honda Ridgeline Price and Release Date

We are expecting to see the pickup on the road later in 2023. Perhaps even early 2024 if supply chain issues continue. The starting price for the 2024 Honda Ridgeline is going to be around $40000 for the basic trim. A fully electric version could start at around $50000.
