Some rumors are already predicting a new engine option for the 2024 Nissan Frontier. A 3.8-liter V6 engine is currently available, developing up to 310 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Nissan currently offers a 9-speed automatic transmission. The architecture remains, so don’t expect any sort of hybrid or all-electric powertrain anytime soon.
Still, a new engine could happen, although this is just another wild speculation. Basically, we are waiting for Nissan to reveal official details. In our honest opinion, we don’t think that the new engine will be on offer before 2025MY.
