As for the powertrain, this new F-250 comes loaded with 2 options for varied performance options:

  1. 6.2 liters V8 liters engine producing more than 385 HP and 430 lb-ft of torque.
  2. A more powerful 6.7 liters V8 churning out more than 440 HP and 925 lb-ft of torque.

Both these engines are coupled to the 6-speed auto transmission. The 2018 Ford F-250 comes with two options for AWD or RWD. However, the maximum towing capacity for the first variant is more than 15,000 lb and that for the second version is about 32,500 lb.

The Platinum version is a tad swifter than the other trims only with an additional noise experienced at any speeds. As compared to Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra, the 2018 Ford F-250 is a bit slower though with 0-60 mph covered in about 8 seconds. The fuel economy of this vehicle has been improved; thanks to Ford’s R&D. This vehicle provides a mileage of 16 mpg in the city and an estimated 22 mpg on the highway.

The diesel engine version of 2018 Ford F-250 has got a 29/34 gallon capacity while the petrol versions can carry a maximum of 34/48 gallons. The diesel version of Ford F-250 has got more horsepowers than Ram. It can carry a greater amount of load and has got a better infotainment system than the latter. The Platinum version comes with exquisite interiors and better powertrain. The F-250 is priced at $33,730 for the base model and up to $60,000 for higher trims.
