The most recent concept from the EV specialist Workhorse will use a Workhorse W-15 Pickup Truck name. The release date of this model is not yet available, but if we have to assume, it will arrival sometime in 2020. However, this is just an assumption, and now we can talk about some certain things that we know about the newest model. This model will be an electric, range extender pickup. Its design will be very futuristic and we think that will attract a lot of attention of all customers around the word.
Workhorse W-15 Pickup Truck – Design:
Of course, we have only rendering photos, and as we know, the final look can be changed, but according to those photos, the exterior design of the future model will be very modernistic. Everything from the outside will be very stylish and all people will be delighted. This model will use lightweight composite body panels and it will be underpinned by a high-strength stainless steel frame. According to rendering photos, the front side of the Workhorse W-15 Pickup Truck will be very nice and here we can notice Workhorse lettering on the end of the hood.
This model doesn’t have a classic front grille, and the hood is stretched almost to the front bumper. So, under the hood, we can see front bumper that will be equipped with air vents, as well as with a side opening, probably for the fog lights. The headlights will be very sharp, and although we don’t know which technology will power it, we think that will be LED. The rear side will look like a classic rear side of every pickup truck. The side profile will provide large wheels, probably made from aluminum.
Interior:
The interior design of the Workhorse W-15 Pickup Truck is a complete mystery. But from rumors design of the cabin will be very modern, and fitted with so many high-tech and safety features. The modern air condition will probably be the standard features, just like the leather upholstery. As soon as we receive some new info, we will update our review.
Workhorse W-15 Pickup Truck – Powertrain:
The W-15 Pickup Truck will probably draw power from the Panasonic 18650 lithium ion batteries. Those batteries will be good for around 80 miles range. This model will also have all-wheel drive capability, thanks to the two electric motors, one for each axle. We don’t have official specifications, but from rumors, the powertrain will be the same as in the Workhorse van. We expect 1,620 pound-feet of torque as well as 268 horsepower (200 kilowatts).
