This is the New 2025 Chevy Silverado

GM plans to release a next-generation Chevy Silverado in 2025, featuring a redesigned exterior and a newly developed powertrain. The new engine will be a small-block V8 with a displacement of 6.2 liters and an impressive 450 horsepower and nearly 600 pound-feet of torque. Not just power and torque will be improved. GM also promises that the new engine will reduce gas emissions and improve the mileage of the truck.
Also, some of the previous generation’s powertrain options, including turbodiesel and the less potent 5.7-liter V8, will stay. And we should also expect to see a fully electric Silverado.

All these changes will not kill the true soul of Silverado. It will stay a true working truck. With best-in-class towing capacity. Even more powerful engine with better fuel efficiency. Also, the interior of the truck should become more comfortable for longer rides because that was one of the biggest downsides of older generations of Silverado.

2025 Chevy Silverado Specifications

The 2025 Chevy Silverado is expected to come with plenty of engine options. That will include the gasoline V6 and the newly developed V8. Duramax turbodiesel will also stay as an option. And we will see, for the first time, a fully electric Silverado.
The horsepower of the new Silverado will range from 290 horsepower for a base V6 powertrain to 450 horsepower for a newly developed V8. All engines will be paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox with rear-wheel drive for base trims and all-wheel drive as an option for top trims.
Towing capacity should also be improved thanks to new chassis and more potent powertrains. The maximum towing capacity for a 2025 Chevy Silverado will be 14,000 pounds, which is an impressive number for a truck of this size. Lower trims with V6 engines are rated at 12,000 pounds. Payload capacity will stay the same, depending on bed configuration. And it is rated at 1900 pounds at maximum.

The fuel economy will also be improved. For the most powerful V8 fuel, mpg will be 16 in the city and 21 on the highway, and for the less potent variant of the V8, mpg will be 17 in the city and 23 on the highway.

Chevy EV 2

2025 Chevy Silverado EV

The Chevrolet Silverado EV will be the newest addition to the electric truck lineup from GM. The Silverado EV will use the same engines and the same charging and battery technology as the Hummer EV, but will use a 2-motor setup instead of 3. That will result in less power for the Hummer EV, but maybe in better-equipped trims, we’ll see a 3-engine setup. The starting power for the Silverado EV will be around 500 horsepower, and if the 3-engine setup happens, it will go up to 750 horsepower. That will result in impressive acceleration from 0 to 60 in just 5.4 seconds. All models will be all-wheel-drive with air suspension.

The Trial Boss equipment package should get a locking differential and all-terrain tires. The estimated range should be around 250, and we will also see an option for fast charging. Towing capacity will be around 10.000 pounds, and payload capacity will be around 1400 pounds. Also, there are rumors spreading around that the three-engine setup in top-tier trim will be able to tow up to 17.000 pounds.
The Chevy Silverado EV’s exterior and interior should be a mix of modern, futuristic design and well-known Chevy practicality.

2025 Chevy Silverado Redesign

The 2025 Chevy Silverado will feature a huge exterior redesign. That will include a new front fascia that will be built from scratch. With a newly developed, more aggressive grille and headlights with a C-shaped look. The redesigned front bumper will follow the same language as the new generation of Silverado. And that will be futuristic and modern styling that will bring GM into a new era of modern heavy-duty trucks. The body of the Silverado will become more aerodynamic to reduce the drag of the vehicle and improve handling as well as fuel efficiency.

Price and Release Date

We expect to see the new 2025 Chevy Silverado start hitting dealerships in Q4 of 2024 or the start of 2025. The starting price will be around $35,000 for the base trim. And the price will climb up to $55,000 for the spec-out model with all the additional equipment.
For the electric version, we expect the release date to be close to that of the classic model. The starting price will be around $55,000 for the base model and up to $85,000 for the top-tier trim equipment package.

The upcoming model of the Silverado will have significant improvements over the previous generation. With a new powertrain that is stronger, it can pull more, and at the same time, it’s more efficient than the previous one. Upgraded exterior and interior.
We expect to hit good sales numbers when it starts selling at the start of 2025.
