The upcoming 2023 Ford F-150 will continue to dominate the light-duty pickup truck segment. Unfortunately, the new F-150 will introduce a few minor changes. The truck was completely redesigned for 2021, so there shouldn’t be any significant changes this year. One of our favorite light-duty trucks is the Ford F-150 for plenty of reasons.
It comes in a wide variety of configurations, has enough towing and hauling capacity, and some remarkable technical features that make towing easier. When it arrives in dealerships in the late summer or fall of 2022, the F-150 pickup truck should be worth a look. One of the reasons is the brand-new F-150 Lightning variant. It is an all-electric model with an incredible driving range and generally, great performances.
Exterior and Interior Changes
The next 2023 Ford F-150 will have a highly modern and upright appearance. Some aesthetic changes will be made to ensure that the new F-150 will stay as competitive as before. However, Ford introduced a recent redesign. Thanks to that, the 2023MY won’t introduce major upgrades. The styling will remain intact, along with the truck’s size and shape. We hope to see new exterior colors and some new equipment, but that’s about it.
On the inside, Blue Oval will also deliver minor updates only. The F-150, depending on setup, may provide a confusing array of options and controls. Fortunately, the cabin design is straightforward and the layout is very simple. We expect to see an updated infotainment system and new safety aids. Moreover, new optional amenities could be on offer as well. Besides that, nothing will change and Ford F-150 will continue to offer a spacious cabin with a high level of comfort.
Ford F-150 Specs
The upcoming 2023 Ford F-150 will once again be available with both diesel and gasoline engines. This incredible pickup truck is available with 2.7-liter, 3.5-liter, and 5.0-liter gasoline engines. A 3.3-liter engine is also available, giving you a lot of options. There are also 3.3-liter and 3.0-liter turbodiesel versions available.
If that isn’t enough, the F-150 Hybrid is maybe the finest alternative available. An all-electric variant is also in the works, so the F-150 will have everything you can think of. This also includes the high-performance F-150 Raptor version. Ford’s relatively new 10-speed automatic gearbox is now standard and we don’t expect to see any sort of improvement in terms of performance.
F-150 Lightning
The brand-new 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning will also hit the dealerships. It is an all-electric variant with impressive performances. However, not all of the specs are available at the moment. According to Blue Oval, the electric truck will feature two electric motors and over-the-air updates. Moreover, the Lightning variant will provide greater horsepower and torque, and will have the quickest acceleration of any F-150 now on the market. Reportedly, this all-electric model will develop over 450 horsepower and over 300 miles of driving range on a single charge.
2023 Ford F-150 Price, Release Date
Like the outgoing model, the new 2023 Ford F-150 will start at around $34,000. On the other hand, the F-150 Lightning will cost considerably more than the Tesla Cybertruck. The sales will begin later in summer 2022, or in the early fall.
