Anticipations were high for a fresh design in the upcoming 2024 Ford Ranger. However, it appears Ford has chosen to implement only minor modifications. However, enthusiasts can breathe easy, as the eagerly awaited overhaul is slated for the 2025 model year. Consequently, the 2025 Ford Ranger redesign is set to debut with striking alterations. Including a revamped grille, updated daytime running lights, and a redesigned hood.
The transformation doesn’t stop at aesthetics; substantial changes are brewing beneath the surface as well. The 2025 Ranger will be equipped with an all-new 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine boasting a formidable 315 horsepower and an impressive 400 pound-feet of torque. This upgrade ensures that the 2025 Ford Ranger will not only sport a refreshed appearance but also deliver an exhilarating driving experience.
2025 Ford Ranger Interior and Exterior
As previously discussed, significant transformations are in store for both the interior and exterior of the 2025 Ford Ranger. Beginning with the exterior, a comprehensive revamp is on the horizon, giving the vehicle an entirely fresh appearance. The front fascia of the truck is slated to receive updated grilles and headlights, accompanied by a revamped daytime lighting design. Despite these changes, the truck’s design language will remain consistent, maintaining its assertive and contemporary aesthetic with modern design elements intact.
Regarding the exterior, there are also several notable changes in the interior. The level of equipment will largely hinge on the chosen trim, spanning from well-appointed to outright luxurious. To kick things off, the upcoming 2025 Ranger will sport a brand-new infotainment system, highlighted by a generous 13-inch touchscreen prominently positioned on the center console. Additionally, a convenient charging pad will be conveniently located within the center console. In the 2025 model year, the seats will undergo a comprehensive redesign, with higher-tier trims offering the added comfort of heated and ventilated seating options. Furthermore, top-tier trims will boast the luxury of a heated steering wheel and mirrors.

2025 Ford Ranger PHEV
The 2025 model of the Ford Ranger will come with a hybrid powertrain. There are a few possible options, but we are nearly sure that Ford will choose their well-known 2.3-liter, 4-cylinder engine that will be paired with a small electric motor. These two mills combined will be able to produce 350 horsepower with an impressive 453 pound-feet of torque. This hybrid engine will be more potent than the previous 3.0-liter V6. Also, it will have a serious working performance. The towing capacity for this model will be rated at 7000 pounds and around 1900 pounds for the payload capacity. Regular model max towing capacity should be rated at 7800 pounds, and we expect to see the same carrying capacity. Ford, promise us up to 30 miles with just electric power.
This model will just come as an all-wheel drive with a 10-speed automatic gearbox.
Some of the interesting features that are worth mentioning are the power generator on a truck that will be able to power electric tools that can be connected to the truck.
2025 Ford Ranger Raptor
This model will be the top-of-the-offer model for the new Ranger. Starting at around $55,000, it will not be a cheap truck, but it will offer great performance on the road and off-road.
The heart of this model will be a Ford EcoBoost V6 engine with a displacement of 3.0 liters.
This powertrain will be able to produce up to 410 horsepower with 450 pounds of torque.
Raptor will be just all-wheel drive, and it will come with upgraded offroad suspension. Unique 18-inch rims that will be wrapped in all-terrain tires. Also, this model will feature plenty of other exterior upgrades. Like steel front and rear bumpers, underbody protection, and side rock guards.
For the exterior of this model, we expect it to be a mix of futuristic design and luxury. Starting from a digital instrument cluster that will be 12 inches instead of 8 like on low-end models,
Then we will find seat and wheel heating. two-zone climate control. And there are many more additional features that can be configured to meet customer needs.
Price and Release Date
The starting price for this model will range from $33.500 for the base XL model and go up to $55,000 for the top-of-the-line Raptor Trim.
Also, there will be two other models. Lariat will be our choice for the best balance between price and equipment/capability. Lariat will start at $45,000. The XLT trim will start at $37.000.
The release date of the 2025 Ford Ranger is not yet officially confirmed, so we can guess we will see him in Q3 of 2024.
For now, there is no official confirmation that the hybrid model will hit the US market, but if Ford decides to release it in the US, the release date should be the same as the regular model.
