Also, there will be a few tweaks to the exterior and interior of the truck. GM will almost certainly decide to update a new information and entertainment system.
2025 Ford F-150 Specifications
As we already mentioned, the 2025 Ford F-150 will come with plenty of powertrain options. Ranging from 3.3 Liters with 295 horsepower to 5.2 Liters with 720 horsepower. The most potent engine variant will be reserved for the Raptor R model. Also, there will be an improved hybrid powertrain that will have a 3.5-liter V6 engine with a small electric motor. This variant will be able to produce up to 450 horsepower and nearly 600 pounds of torque. In total, the upcoming Ford F-150 will have eight different powertrains. All of them will be paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox.
It will come either with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Last year, the Ford F-150 was the most capable towing truck in its class. For the 2025 version, we expect him to stay on the throne. With a max towing rating of up to 14.200 pounds, he will stay best in class. Also, payload capacity will stay the same at 3250 pounds. The second-best in class is the Chevy Silverado, with just 2150 pounds. Fuel economy will also range from 35 mpg for the economical Hybrid variant to 24 mpg for a V8 in the Raptor R.
2025 Ford F-150 Lighting
A new generation of Ford F-150 Lighting will be made on a totally new platform named T3. So GM will introduce new F-150 Lighting on a totally new platform. At this moment, there is no official statement about what powertrains will be offered, But we can guess that they will come with plenty of battery and engine configurations. Probably it will range from around 450 horsepower like the previous version up to 650 horsepower for the most potent variation.
We also expect to see plenty of interior configurations depending on trim level and customer choice. Base trims will come with 12-inch touchscreens, and luxurious trims will go up to 16 inches. There will be five trim levels available. Starting from a base trim Pro, Then XLT. XLT high, followed by luxurious Lariat and top-tier trim Platinium. For the exterior, we expect a huge redesign to accommodate the new platform. But at this moment, there are no official renders from the GM.
2025 Ford F-150 Raptor R and other Trim levels
The 2025 Ford F-150 Raptor R is a particular off-road model. It comes with the most potent powertrain that is available for this truck. The mighty 5.2-liter V8 has 700 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. Part of this offroad package also includes 33-inch all-terrain tires. All-wheel drive with a locking differential. Unique body features include side skirts and underbody protection.
There will be another nine trim levels for the new Ford F-150. Ranging from a base XL to an XLT. Then we have a solidly equipped Lariat, the King Ranch. And then there are two luxurious versions: Platinum and Limited. Also, there will be three off-road vehicles equipped, and they will be the Tremor, Raptor, and Raptor R.
Also, all trim levels can be additionally configured to meet customer needs. For example, you can pick all-wheel drive and stronger engines on lower-level trims if you want to go offroad. Or you can pick a better information-entertainment system.
Price and Release Date
The price of the starting XL trim will start at $35,000 and go up to $85,000 for the Limited.
We expect offroad trims to start at $65.00 for the Tremor and go up to $95.000 for the Raptor R.
The F-150 Lighting price will expect a slight rise in 2024. So the starting trim will start at $65.000 and go up to $105.000 for a platinum equipment package with a top-tier battery.
The official release date is not yet known. But we expect to see the 2025 Ford-150 hit the market at the end of 2024. For the lighting variant, we expect it to be introduced at the end of 2024 and to start selling in Q1 of 2025.
